Some useful tips to check whether the beam cross section will collapse or not

Construction Software

In this construction video tutorial, there will be some useful tips for checking whether the beam section will collapse or not.

To initiate the process, it is required to make estimation of the cracking moment as well as comparison between cracking moment and internal moment, that is created with external load.

In the video, the solution given to the following problem :-

Here, given the quantity of beam that contains some kind of UDL as 2 KN/m and the length of the beam is 3 m. Based on this, will the cross section of the specified beam crack?

The breadth of the beam is given as 10 cm and depth is given as 20 cm.

Modulus of elasticity of material is represented by E and it is 2x104 KN/cm2

Maximum Bending Stress is represented by f and it is KN/cm2

To learn the complete process, go through the following video tutorial.
