A position is vacant experienced estimator in Skelmersdale, UK

A leading Specialist Construction Subcontractor that deals with floor systems incorporating steel decking, in-situ concrete slabs and raised access flooring, is seeking an experienced estimator to work in tandem with estimating department for the decking and concrete division.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Estimating and arranging quotations for multideck and concrete projects.
• Create the estimate at a level of detail suitable for the size and complexity of the project.
• Keep in touh with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Make precise take offs and quantities from technical drawings & Bills of Quantities.
• Pursued live and speculative tenders.
• Support the estimating team as necessary.

Qualifications:

• IT Skills, specifically in MS Office
• Hard working & methodical manner
• Outstanding Communication Skills
• Compliant Proactive Attitude
• Knowledge of the Construction Industry.
• Capability to recognize & analyse bills of quantities/working technical drawings.
• 2-3 Years experience in construction estimating is required.
