How to workout the volume of a slump cone

This construction video tutorial shows the step-by-step guidelines for computing the volume of a slump cone. For this purpose the following formula is applied :-

volume = 𝑯/𝟑( 𝑨𝟏+𝑨𝟐 + √(𝑨𝟏 𝑨𝟐 ))
Here, A1 denotes Top Area
A2 denotes Bottom Area
H denotes height of the slump cone

This formula can also be used for other types of following solids :-

1) cylinder
2) pyramid
3) frustum of pyramid
4) cone and cone frustum.

The dimensions of the slum cone are given below :-

Top (circular shape) diameter of the slump cone is given as 4”
Bottom (circular shape) diameter of the slump cone is given as 8”
Height is given as 12”

These dimensions should be entered into the above formula.

To find out the circle shaped top area, the following formula can be used :-
A1 = πd2/4
