Required Skills Desired Skills & Experiences:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements and setting priorities.
• Responsible for development of detailed cost estimates for Federal infrastructure projects under firm-fixed price, cost-reimbursable, time & materials, and performance-based contracts.
• Will require thorough review of RFP's and supporting documents.
• Participation in internal strategy meetings to develop competitive technical and construction approaches.
• Development of a detailed basis of estimate; completion of detailed quantity take-offs; procurement of quotes for material, equipment, and subcontractors; calculation of production rates and associated sizing of needed labor, equipment, and material needs; leading bid review meetings; and preparation of cost estimating documentation.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• 5+ years of Cost Estimating experience
• Must have experience on Federal agency projects
• Prefer experience working within the railroad industry
