How to use method of section to analyze truss perfectly

This construction video briefly describes the process for analyzing a truss applying method of section. Under this process, the truss is sliced into two sections by transmitting a cutting plane over the members whose internal forces should have been defined. By applying this method, it becomes easier to resolve directly any member by evaluating the left or the right section of the cutting plane.

To keep each section in equilibrium, the cut members are substituted by forces corresponding to the internal load transferred to the members. Each section may form non-concurrent force system from which three equilibrium equations are written. The method of Sections is useful for resolving larger truss structures in a quickest and simple way.

This process will help the engineers to make perfect structural analysis.
