Standard sizes of different types of rooms in a residential building

In a residential building, there should be following types of rooms :- Living room, Master bed room, Child bed room, Guest Bed Room, Dining room, Kitchen, Bath room, Dressing room, Foyer, Store Room, Pantry, Office room etc.

Besides, some other types of rooms like study room can also be included in your residential building.

Given below the standard sizes of the above mentioned rooms :-

Standard size of living room: the standard size of a living room should be under :-

Small: 12′ x 18′ (3600mm x 5400mm)
Medium: 16′ x 20′ (4800mm x 6000mm)
Large: 22′ x 28′ (6600mm x 8400mm)

Standard size of master bed room: The size of Master bed room should have been larger as compared to other bed rooms. The standard size should be as under:-

Small: 12′ x 14′ (3600mm x 4200mm)
Medium: 14′ x 20′ (4200mm x 6000mm)
Large: 16′ x 24′ (4800mm x 7200mm)

Size of child bed room: The size of child bed room should be similar to the size of normal bed room. The standard size is given below:-

Small: 10′ x 12′ (3000mm x 3600mm)
Medium: 12′ x 14′ (3600mm x 4200mm)
Large: 14′ x 16′ (4200mm x 4800mm)

Standard size of guest bed room: Guest bed room is also known as common bed room. The standard size of guest bed room should be as follow :-

Medium: 12′ x 14′ (3600mm x 4200mm)
Large: 14′ x 16′ (4200mm x 4800mm)

Standard size of dining room: If dining room is segregated from living room then the standard size of dining room should be as follow :-

Large: 14′ x16′ (4200mm x 4800mm)

Standard size of kitchen room: The standard size of the kitchen room should be as follow :-

Standard size of dressing room: The standard size of dressing room should be as follow :-
