3D Artist - Character Modelling
Our client is an advanced virtual worlds and social games developer with offices in various countries. They leverage proprietary 3D game engine development, artificial intelligence, smart data and mobile technologies to offer scalable, unique and entertaining real money games to radically disrupt the online gaming industry. If you have a passion for gaming and outstanding character modeling and texturing skills this could be a great opportunity for you!
The position forms part of the diverse and fast paced creative studio. You will be working collaboratively with other 3D specialists and an Art Director to deliver 3D products for a wide variety of projects and clients. We are looking for a hard-working individual who can fit into the current team and also bring the team forward to be a leading edge company within 3d gaming products. You must have a thirst for the latest developments within the 3d gaming sector and instill that attitude within the team.
Requirements:
- An up-to-date portfolio of work demonstrating your skills.
- Understanding of conceptualising new artwork in line with an existing product.
- Appreciation of project development cycles and timelines.
- Some knowledge of shaders would be advantageous but not essential
- Excellent understanding of 3DS Max or other relevant software package
- High attention to detail and understanding of technical requirements and limitations
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and independent individual
- Strong spatial awareness and a good sense of form, scale and proportion
- A full working knowledge of various modelling techniques, polygon and sub-division surface modelling; organic and non-organic
